summary(En) : | The petroleum-ether soluble part of the methanol extract from the wood of Thuja standishii CARR. has been investigated. Although the methanol extract was obtained in a yield of 9.2 %, based on the oven-dry wood, the amount of the petroleum-ether soluble part was very small and about one twentieth of the total extract. Carvacrol, β-sitosterol, a paraffin hydrocarbon and a kind of carbonyl compound have been isolated, α-, β-Thujaplicins and an unidentified tropolone have also been shown to be present by paper chromatography. |
